Camera and video drones have been capturing amazing nature footage since they were first used by naturalists and wildlife documentarians. But this video of butterflies, captured by a specialized drone, is particularly incredible. The tiny drone is shaped like a hummingbird. The blades are protected by shields, so when the drone, not seen as a threat to the resting Monarch butterflies, flies close to the hoards of insects, it can't harm them. Once the butterflies start flying, the footage is awe-inspiring. Some of the butterflies even land on the drone, showing it truly blends into the huge crowd of subjects.
